The salary of Bangladesh cricket players depends on their performance, which is reflected in their points and categories assigned by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. The BCB has announced four categories for men’s cricketers and three categories for women’s cricketers. The players also earn extra income from match fees, bonuses, endorsements, and other sources. According to one source, every Bangladesh cricketer makes between 50 and 60 lakhs per year, but the specific amount varies from player to player. Here are some examples of the salaries of Bangladesh cricket players in different categories: 

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has divided the salary of Bangladesh cricket players into five categories: A+, A, B, C, and D. The highest salary for the A+ category player is BDT 4 lakh Per month. The lowest salary is BDT 1 lakh Per month for the D-category players. The government of Bangladesh has increased the salaries of all government officials, including Bangladeshi cricketers. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has included 24 cricketers in the central contract, with Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, and Soumya Sarkar at the highest salaries. These four players get BDT 4 lakh/month because they are included in the highest salary rank

However, some sources suggest that the Bangladesh Cricket Board provides a monthly pension to the former cricketers who have played at least 10 international matches for the country. The amount of the pension varies depending on the number of matches played, the format of the game, and the seniority of the player. For example, a player who has played more than 100 Tests or ODIs will receive BDT 40,000 per month, while a player who has played less than 10 Tests or ODIs will receive BDT 10,000 per month. 

The BCB also provides financial assistance to the retired cricketers who are facing health or other issues. For instance, in 2020, the BCB announced a one-time grant of BDT 1 lakh to 27 former cricketers who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The BCB also covers the medical expenses of the retired cricketers who need treatment for serious illnesses or injuries.
