Mustafizur’s journey to cricketing stardom began in 2012 when he ventured from his hometown, Satkhira, to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to participate in a fast-bowlers camp. His talent was first spotted during an Under-17 tournament in Satkhira.
In 2014, he was selected for the Bangladesh Under-19 side and later represented his country in the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in the UAE, where he showcased his skills by taking eight wickets.

Mustafizur’s international career took off on April 24, 2015, when he made his debut in a twenty-over match against Pakistan. In his first match, he dismisses Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez.
